Jasmine Sernberg
Registered Arts Therapist, Facilitator and Owner

MA Therapeutic Arts Practice, AThR (Professional Member No. 54416831) ANZACATA, BBus (Major Mktg&EMgmt), Cert III Creative Arts & Contemporary Craft
Jasmine is a registered Arts Therapist and founder of Papernook. She is professionally trained in creative therapeutic interventions using the MIECAT Form of Inquiry and is trained in psychoneuroimmunology relaxation-based techniques. Jasmine is devoted to the health benefits of creative arts and has followed her passion of combining the arts with helping people achieve improved mental health and well-being.

Jasmine has a Masters degree in Therapeutic Arts Practice (Therapy), the level of qualification required for delivering therapy supports to clients under the NDIS scheme. She holds current Professional Membership with the peak association, ANZACATA.

Jasmine completed her internship work placement with Help Enterprises, practicing as part of their multi-disciplinary Health and Well-being Services Team. During this time, Jasmine developed and wrote ‘What Is My Shape’, an experiential book for teams in understanding self and a process for improving connections through the concept of shape. Jasmine also co-facilitated Champions of Change Lived Experience Engagement Forums, funded by Queensland's Mental Health Commission. Forums were delivered using a therapeutic arts-based approach to hear the voices of people with lived experience from a range of backgrounds, each navigating their own mental illnesses, suicide and drug and alcohol addictions. Participants were supported to unpack their journey around what is needed by leaders and employers to create more mentally healthy workplaces and inform future practice. You can watch the full video here.
Prior to becoming an Arts Therapist in private practice, Jasmine worked in strategic marketing and communications predominantly for non-profits. She worked for several years in the disability sector, with skills spanning marketing, political media, event coordination, project management and partnership management. Jasmine is driven by her ambition to make a difference in the lives of people who need support differently.

Chloe graduated with a Masters degree in Arts Therapy from MIECAT. She first joined Papernook in 2023 to complete her placement, and has since been a fully-qualified practicing Arts Therapist as part of our clinical team. Chloe is a keen hobby artist and loves to explore various artistic disciplines, from ceramics to embroidery and painting.

Prior to this, Chloe worked as a Disability Support Worker for several years and understands the importance of adapting to service specific needs. This makes her comfortable to support a wide range of clients of diverse backgrounds. As someone who turns to art making instead of written journaling, Chloe’s own approach and lived experience fosters her belief that Arts Therapy can be used as a tool to diversify means of communicating, connecting and understanding.

Chloe is a keen observer and approaches all client interactions with an open and curious mind.
