Jasmine is devoted to the health benefits of creative arts and has followed her passion of combining this with helping people achieve improved mental health and wellbeing.
Jasmine has a Masters in Therapeutic Arts Practice (Therapy) with MIECAT. This qualification is a benchmark for delivering therapy supports to clients under the NDIS scheme and current Professional Membership is held with ANZACATA. Jasmine completed her internship work placement with Help Enterprises, joining their multi-disciplinary Health & Wellbeing Services Team. During this time she developed and wrote ‘What Is My Shape’, an experiential book for teams in understanding self and a process for improving connection through shape. Jasmine also co-facilitated the Champions of Change Lived Experience Engagement Forums, funded by Queensland's Mental Health Commission. Forums were delivered using a therapeutic arts-based approach to hear the voices of people with lived experience from a range of backgrounds, each navigating their own mental illnesses, suicide and drug and alcohol addictions. Participants were supported to unpack their journey around what is needed by leaders and employers to create more mentally healthy workplaces and inform future practice. You can watch the full video here. Prior to stepping out into private practice, Jasmine was a strategic marketing and communications specialist working predominantly in the not-for-profit sector. Jasmine's experience included 6-years in the disability industry, with skills spanning generalist marketing, political media, events coordination, project management and partnership brokering.
Jasmine has always been driven by her value of 'living with purpose' and ambition to make a difference. Papernook is her proudest achievement. |
