We are Papernook.Papernook was founded to support people on their journey to greater self-awareness, healing and to offer a sense of grounding and safety. We offer a supportive environment to get to know yourself better in a space that inspires recovery and hope. Arts Therapy provides an opportunity to reflect, learn about values and needs and improve expression and communication. Papernook is an allied health service that takes a therapeutic arts-based approach with inquiry and creates possibility beyond talk therapies. With the support of a qualified Arts Therapist, clients remain curious using a range of creative materials to make sense of things.
Papernook was a playful name inspired by the importance of first creating a space that feels safe and private (nook). Enabling a person to feel comfortable in therapy is key to supporting self-expression and increasing confidence when experimenting with arts making materials (paper). The little paper plane came about after folding up a list of possible business names and flying it across the room - a symbol that we can't always achieve meaning through words alone. Papernook is a is Brisbane-based private practice established in February 2021. Telehealth services can be offered Australia-wide, with Arts Therapy kits sold and posted world-wide. |
